FAQs

Hillin & Clark, P.C.

How do you bill for your services?

Our standard billing procedure is to bill monthly or as a service has been completed. We require payment upon completion of services. We accept checks and cash only.

What hours are you available?

We are available during normal business hours, which are 8:00 to 5:00, Monday through Friday. We would be happy to make special arrangements for evening or weekend consultations.

We have extended and weekend hours during tax season, January 1 through April 15, Saturday 8:00-12:00.

What role do you, as my CPA, play if the IRS audits me?

We will represent you during the IRS examination. We recommend that clients do not represent themselves.

How much and what kind of preparation do you need for my return?

For individual income tax returns we prefer the information be summarized and the supporting documents for income and deductible items be provided. We also ask that clients bring in all 1099 forms. After we have prepared your return once we will send you an organizer that will contain the previous year's information so that you have a guide to assist you with the assembly of your current year information.

For businesses we prefer that your materials be in a computerized form, but we also have clients that manually summarize their information. Contact us with questions about specific software packages.

QuickBooks seems to be the most popular small business software. We have two QuickBooks ProAdvisors on staff to assist clients.
